There's no doubt about it. Writer's block is going to set in. It creeps upon you when you least expect it, and sends you right off into the Dead Zone. You sit at your screen like a Zombie staring at the blinking cursor. "What should I write?" you ask yourself. Your question gets lost in your brain because there are no ideas to direct it to the right place. The longer you stare at the computer screen, the more you just don't want to write, and wonder why you even bother in the first place. Well.... don't give up! Walk away now! Do something else. Go for a walk. Or, do something similar that clears the cobwebs out of your brain.. Come back another time and try again. Remember though, don't force it!!. Here are some tips to help your through the writer's block.

1. Choose a time to write when your ideas are flowing freely. For me that is as soon as I wake up in the morning. For you it can be later in the day or just before bed. You will know...Trust me.

2. Never try to force your writing just for the sake of adding words to the page. It doesn't work, And, I guarantee you -- it will bore your readers to tears.

3.Get in a relaxed mood before you write. Sit in your favorite chair, or lay on the bed and let your mind wander into the story you are planning to write. Put yourself in your characters place. Go over the story in your mind as if you were watching it in a movie..

4. Try listening to music through your headphones when you write. Especially, if you are writing a love story. Just like when you watch a movie and there is music playing in the background. It creates emotion. And, the more emotion you have, the better you will write

Write in a quiet place away from all distractions. If you don't want to wear headphones and listen to music, then, wear earplugs. Shut out the noise around you. This is where the ear plugs will help.

5. Sip slowly on your favorite beverage before you start. It will relax you and take away some of your stress and doubts.

6. Wear comfortable clothing. After all, you could be sitting for long periods. You don't want to be tugging and pulling at your clothing because it hurts. You won't be in any mood to write.

7. Don't put pressure on yourself to get the book written. Unless you have a Publisher waiting with a Deadline, you can finish the book in your own sweet time. The longer the book simmers, the better it will taste. I mean read :))
